深水埗區內有不少具歷史價值的建築和文化，值得加以保育，此時設計亦能擔當重要的角色。
城區活動2021的「主要伙伴場地創意節」伙伴旲視聽實驗室將以深水埗區內隨處可見的文化特色「字體設計」和「香港招牌」為主題，策劃「Memory Lane 1921-2021」項目，舉辦一連串設計書籍分享會，並邀請本地字體設計師和招牌匠人參與設計思維工作坊，與公眾探討保育文化的重要性。 此外，旲視聽實驗室更將舉行「香港招牌」展覽，展示香港招牌近百年的歷史及設計演變。

Young Local Designers +
The Project will recruit local designers interested in heritage and characters to celebrate Hong Kong design elements through the participation to the design thinking workshop. The selection will reflect the ETHNIC diversity of the area. The project will focus on the authentic local "Hong Kong Beiwei Kaishu" font, as recently rediscovered by ADONIAN CHAN, and the Kickass Type.
Hong Kong Expert Signage Calligraphy Craftsmen +
The project will recruit local elderly Craftsmen to share their skills, and cooperate to the design thinking workshop. They will be from Sham Shui Po.
Design Thinking Final Result =
Over the course of our workshop, the young and old participants will collaborate on the use of local sourced Sham Shui Po materials to build a whole Memory Lane Installation, which will be the final main artwork built by the project. The workshop is open to visitors daily, and can welcome people to cooperate and enjoy our Library.
